My Maps

I just read on Will Richardson's blog about how you can make your own Google Maps!

What a great way to get students telling stories while also using geography and multimedia (you can add pictures and videos, too!).

Now I wish I had a story to tell to try it out... hmm...

After attending the NCaect Conference in Durham this week, a colleague and myself are inspired to try to bring Web 2.0 tools into our school. We're thinking big, dreaming big, and wanted a space to share our thoughts as we work through the limitations of the district's filter and try to demonstrate what great things can be accomplished with just a little more planning and consideration for the digital natives that we teach. Please feel free to comment as we're interested in other innovators. Otherwise, hopefully great things will come from this small step!
